## Description

**Taxonomy Meta Box Filter** enhances the WordPress admin interface by adding a 
simple search field above each taxonomy metabox.
 It supports default taxonomies(
like categories and tags), as well as custom taxonomies and custom post types (CPTs).

Perfect for sites with a large number of terms, allowing you to quickly find and
select the ones you need while editing posts.

## Installation

 1. Upload the plugin folder to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory.
 2. Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” menu in WordPress.
 3. Edit a post and you will see the search field above the taxonomy metaboxes.

Yes, it works with all taxonomies properly registered in WordPress.

### Do I need to configure anything?

No configuration needed. Just activate the plugin and the search field will automatically
appear.

 * The filter now works in the block editor. It only ever appeared in the Classic
   Editor: the block editor builds its taxonomy panel with completely different 
   markup, so the plugin found nothing to attach to and did nothing at all — on 
   the editor WordPress has shipped by default since 2018. Hierarchical taxonomies
   and the most-used tag list are both covered, and a parent term stays visible 
   while one of its children matches.
 * The search field placeholder can now be translated. It was written in Italian
   directly in the code.
 * The script is loaded as a file on the editor screens only, instead of being printed
   into the footer of every admin page.
 * Tested up to WordPress 7.1.

 * Added localization using `wp_localize_script()`.
